Tanmay Dhar, born in 1979 in Nabagram, Hooghly, India is a poet, translator and scientist. He did his postgraduate studies at Calcutta University (M. Sc) and Pune University (M. Tech) and doctorate in a joint research project with Uttaranchal University, Dehradun and ISAAC-CNR, Italy (Subject: Climate Science). He is currently doing research with MRI, Switzerland. He started writing since his school days. He has been writing regularly in all leading poetry journals of Bengal and numerous little magazines for the last two-odd decades. Fifteen book of poetry have been published so far. He is the editor of the Web magazine ‘Ushnik’ for the past twelve years. He has received the ‘Web-Literary Legacy’ Award (2018).
