Every piece is read on its own, and its myths, symbols and themes are filed against it on its own. Nothing coordinates them. So when a term turns up on two pieces by two hands, it was not arranged — it is a fact the record produced, and the most interesting thing the Concordance holds.
17 of 313 terms cross. The other 296 are carried by exactly one piece, and get no page here: for those, the Concordance row already names the piece, the author and the mark, and a page would be that row with a door in front of it. None of the crossings has yet been read across.
